Day 4 - Muay Thai, Char Kway Teow & Sam Sui Chicken

I am ang moh, hear me roar! Started the day at 6:30 to meet up with Gina Lau, local hair stylist diva, rock star dresser, and Muay Thai boxing animal! My elbow hematoma can't come close to her jutting broken arm. Try to steal her purse, and you'll get a 5 inch heel right through your skull, boy!

What better way to repair my sore fists, elbows, and feet than another Orchard Road food court jaunt for Char Kway Teow and another round of Chicken Rice. You cannot go wrong with Char Kway Teow; a deliciously stick-to-your-ribs kinda meal of flat noodles, pork, chili, cockles, fishcake, eggs and god knows what else...but the what else is gonna be good too. Of course we were full...but not full enough not to have dessert. Are you crazy? Mango Passion Fruit Sago called my name from afar and I answered with a GULP. I love those little tapioca pearls. Anna chose a childhood favorite (an acquired taste for me) of Tau Suan, which is a sort of sticky bean with thin slices of chinese fried donuts. Interesting for sure. This ang moh would rather just eat a donut.

Dinner was an absolute treat at Soup Kitchen in the Ang Moh Kio hub. If you wanna fill up on something mouth watering, satisfying, flavorful, and screaming for another platter (we had two) AND you aren't eating carbs, this is the dish for you. Sam Sui Chicken, cooked to moist perfection. Simply grab a juicy slice with your chop sticks, dip it in the dish of minced ginger and wrap it in a cold piece of lettuce. You won't believe how good chicken can actually be. 5 stars!
